They Began as No-Counts and started a Tribe : one of the rare genuine
Paris Garage-punk bands of the late 1980's (at the tail end of the 80's
Garage movement! ); their first band. Inspired by Back From The Grave and Pebbles, they learned their
chops covering the basic repertoire of which you get three lost studio tracks here : "No Reason To
Complain" (The Alarm Clocks), "24 Hours (Everyday)" (The Headstones) and "No Friend Of Mine" (The
Sparkles via The Swamp Rats version) and a straight Live rehearsal version of "24 Hours"...Wanting in on
the Chesterfield Kings, Unclaimed, Gravedigger 5, Gruesomes, Miracle Workers, Crimson Shadows,
Stomachmouths, etc. even Fuzztones bandwagon that was running on the underground rock scene then!
Only... in Garage No-man-land Paris, they were still novelty and ugly outsiders. Punks they certainly were
but, 60's punks on a crash-course! How they managed in their short band career to play their second gig
only to a packed club of over 900 people and get noticed by label execs and Tv cameramen that paid for
studio time to get a soundtrack out of them for their video project, recording three songs in the process, is
a mystery... Unceremoniously they split up right afterwards, on the verge of national breakthrough! This
EP of lost tracks restored from the original reels/ master tape, which suffered with shed rot and had to be
precariously oven-baked, is their sound testimony. Available Soon! Contact digthefuzz@hotmail.com.
